Whether or not $45 per mbit is "too expensive" depends on a range of variables.

What is the quality of the bandwidth? What is your commitment plan? How is the hosts support? What kind of hardware are you using? Are you happy with your current solution?

I see this happen a lot. Somebody will see a dirt cheap price with another company and will take the plunge only to crawl back to their provider a few months later after taking a huge business hit because the cheap provider ended up being cheap for a reason. The grass is not always greener.

My advice: develop a solid relationship with a host that you can trust and you won't have to worry about jumping for cheaper prices or better service.
