dude an MRI is a cakewalk...I had my first one about 2 months ago, they found something and the second one was the next day and for this one they injected me with dye. Both were closed MRIs.
The first one had headphones, the second one didnt. the headphones dont make much difference anyhow bwcause you wont hear whats playing while the MRI is running (ya its loud) you can talk to the operators from inside the MRI if you are a little claustrophobic that will help relax ya...talk to em when it isnt running (you will know)
As for the rest just go in, relax and dont sweat it...you can see its easy to get out if ya had to (one of mine had both ends open the other only one end was open) but getting out would be very simple
ask the ops how long it will take, they will tell you...ask them how many cycles they will do...they will tell ya that too and you can count em down.
As for me the MRI saved a misdiagnosis..I had been diagnosed with Charkot Marie Tooth disease the doc was 99% sure. On the 1% I talked him into an MRI which found a nerve sheath tumor between my T12 and L1 vertabrae it was very large and compressing my spinal cord....2 weeks later it was being removed and my prognosis is good...Im gonna be good as new
Dont sweat the MRI dude its one of the best inventions for medical diagnostics ever made...it far surpasses the old Xrays and its a zillion times safer.
Good luck and hit me up on IM yahoo or aol at south 1226 if I can help
