    anyone know how to set up your own text message service?

    the kind where a user enters your # and you bill them @ 0.75 per txt message sent or w/e

    ?

    does this require some sort of cell phone merchant acct or what?

        I've been looking for info on this as well. Theres always these commercials on "txt 1 to blah blah" to get your free daily horoscope.

        Gotto be some info on setting that up.

          Get an account with an SMS aggregator, such as http://www.simplewire.com, http://mblox.com, etc. Write your application to interface with the aggregator for the SMS campaign logic and you should be good to go.

          Or something like that.

              You're looking for an SMS aggregator. Get ready to fork over 40-60% of gross billing to the carriers, they're not cheap.
