    ALERT! Savings Time / MYSQL Bugs galore

    Y2K coming back to haunt us...

    due to the change in daylight savings lots of problems ahead

    Check your servers as it appears mysql uses some sort of time caching feature and your cron jobs probably did not run tonite.... catch it fast and save tons of headaches tommorow!

      Stop and start mysql and it should be alright as long as your server time is set properly. I just restarted my servers as there were a few different services that were screwed up and everything synced properly on the restart.

        Here is a cron job secret, one of the best ones I ever learned.

        Never schedule anything to run between 2 and 3 am on a Sunday morning. Then you never have issues with time changes. Always schedule for after 3am (because it only happens once) and not before (1 am) because once a year it will happen twice.
