Its weird cause when the riots started they sent us home - we pretty much all walked back in those days cause it was only a couple of miles and I was going to school in upper Georgetown - all the way home there were Natl Guard troops with loaded rifles standing every 15 yards or so on the sidewalk - I remember seeing the machine gun nest they set up on the steps of the Capitol building - with a background of most of the entire downtown area up in smoke.Comment
