I got this new drive, it is a 500gb seagate barracuda Serial ATA

I got it in the machine, it is firing up and being detected by the bios

in my bios I see my master drive in the IDE Channel 0
and the Serial ATA in the IDE Channel 2 Master slot

I am sitting here watching the screen hang constantly on boot up, it won't go past a certain point.....it just hangs there

is there something I should know about installing a SATA drive?

btw, I have it set to IDE mode in the bios config
