most people like coca cola more because of the branding and they grew up on it.
the reason coca cola made the new coke was because testing showed people liked the taste of pepsi better. that's why pepsi did the pepsi challenge.
i don't drink too much cola but i keep coke around, more people like it. pepsi tastes sweeter to me (interesting some of you said coke is), and has more sugar, which i kinda like.Comment

Well, being a diabetic, I only drink diet soda now.... Diet Coke and Pepsi both suck... Diet Dr. Pepper is pretty good and for root beer it's Diet Barq's over Diet A&W... The newer diet sodas are being sweetened with Splenda instead of Nutrasweet, and they do taste sweeter without the aftertaste that Nutrasweet has. I think Coke now has a diet version sweetened with Splenda and I know Diet Rite does and it's not bad for a diet cola... When I stop at the quick mart to get my gas, I get a Diet Dr. Pepper over a diet cola every time.Comment

Actually the OLD Coca-Cola used sugar as their sweetener and then they changed the recipe (remember Max Headroom?) and then people complained about it so much they supposedly changed it back, but they really didn't... They all use high fructose corn syrup... Now that I've not been drinking regular soda for a few years, I took a sip of one the other day and all I could taste was the corn syrup... Bleeechhhh!Comment

I prefer Pepsi to Coke. I find that Coke leaves my mouth feeling chalky. I think its because of the fizzy carbon. I'm not a huge fan of overly fizzy drinks.
