hip hop music will always be here . . right now it is dominating every music genre . . there is not one music genre without influences directly from that peticular culture . .. .
if you like hip hop music you should not focus on BET or MTV ... they play some nice tracks once in a while . . but mostly you will hear commercial garbage . . not even worthy of the name music . ..
the lyrics are not everything ... beats are just as important ... and that aspect of the game is evolving right now in a nice direction .. some tracks are hot just because of the nice beat ..
