I got a new pc, how do I get windows media player 10 on it? WMP 11 is lame. Actually, I can get WMP 10 on it, but it doesnt have any updates so it doesn't play a lot of new shit. How do I update it, without upgrading to WMP 11?
I installed Windows media player 11, how do I go back to WMP 10 ?

From what I know you can`t go back to an older version. If you have a previous version of you Windows saved ... with Norton Ghost or similar programs, load it and you`ll have your Media Player 10 back !Comment

That is what is fucked up with MS.
I did the same with Outlook 2007, but it loads slow as fuck, and takes up too much processor.
CAN"T go back to 2003, no matter how many uninstalls, and scrubs I do.
It just wont work. So I am stuck with the beta of 2007.
Gates sucks ass on that shit.
It makes you scared to update anything.Comment

I've run into the same prob, I had to reinstall 'doze from scratch which meant a default install of WMP9; I had previously been using WMP10. The only option offered by Windows Update was WMP11, and it didn't take me long to conclude that it blows. Totally.
You can still download WMP10 and some earlier versions here:

Should be able to go to the control panel (assuming XP or XP Pro) - remove programs - remove WM - then D/L WM10 and install it
If your computer has that new Op sys that MS came out with - youre fuckedComment

See above for what happened when I tried that. I'm using XP Home OEM SP2. I wonder if uninstalling SP2 would allow me to install WMP10...... and whether I can be bothered.
