Slime Bag Content Providers Who Sell Content Without Rights

I'm so fucking tired of other content providers out there who decide to grab DVDs off the shelf and license/lease content to webmasters without actually attaining reseller rights from the producers. My company started out in '95 selling only a few photo sets, and it has just about taken sacrificing my first born to build the relationships with the production studios that we do business with.

To all of you slimebags out there, and you know who you are; you are not only putting your own content company at risk for lawsuits, but those webmasters who you sell content to w/out rights are also liable. Shit, I know that the content business isn't always easy and there are slow periods, but let's try to keep a little integrity.

If and when the 2257 shit hits the fan, a lot of website owners are going to find that their content providers are suddenly out of business or worse have left them in a position to become targets themselves. I'm rebuilding all my sites to feature extremefeeds exclusively.

Why only them?

We own all our own content, always have and always will. Our producer agreements are solid; our 2257 is solid; our brandname is recognized worldwide; our feeds update regularly and never go down... i could go on but I will spare you any further from the full, fatty, flavor of spam.

But still I have to ask... why limit yourself?

a ton of scenes from the top content producers and the quality of the streaming video, along with a huge archive of pix that can be used in tour design to advertise the product. Not to mention the little clips from EF that you can use in your tours. Just overall excellent shit.

We won "best amateur" two years in a row at the AVN awards, plus an AEBN viewers choice award last year for "Deepthroat Virgins". (Viewers Choice award is based on sales volume) All our new streams are optimized all the way through 800k. We certainly can supply images for tours as well sample clips, hard and soft.

I am just reiterating that there are indeed options out there...

Oh yeah... I think we can stand pretty well on a record of longevity too.

Homegrown is top notch provider and an industry leader. They were one of the first companies to take the initiative to fight against the Acacia lawsuit. They have been able to survive because they do their shit legal and right.

Extremefeeds has a lot of content, but it's not enough to launch multiple sites with just that. It's tough to compete against a mega paysite that has 200+ plugin products in their members areas when you only have 1/4 that amount.

Homegrown is cool, I have nothing but respect for that company and for Far-L and I used to carry their feeds, maybe I still do. I'd have to check. As far as AVN goes, who cares? Those assholes used to make threatening calls to my house whenever Setgo.com said something they didn't like. Real professionals.

Extremefeeds covers the niches I like, and the best thing is that for each feed there might be a hundred or more scenes, unlike some companies which make 500 feeds with one or two scenes. EF is deep on content.

I'm one of those guys running megapaysites with 200+ feeds, and it's been my experience lately that the best way to go is to find a specific niche and make damn sure you have enough content WITHIN that niche to satisfy the surfer. A surfer who signs up for an interracial site doesn't give a shit how many voyeur bathroom feeds you have.

No prob. Truth is, anyone who's running an amateur site and doesn't have Homegrown feeds is leaving money on the table by losing retention. Anyone who has some other truly filthy niche and isn't using the matching feed from EF is doing the same thing. You gotta love a content provider that gives you enough content per feed for the surfer to whack it 100x before they ever even bother to check out the next feed in the list

I agree with dig though that amount of products means nothing compared to focusing on niche and the customer who loves it. We have sites that use our stuff exclusively for that reason since the depth of the library and frequency of the updates make it possible to base entire sites on our brand's niche products.

You're totally right about that! A customer looking for a specific niche expects to see a lot of content regarding that niche in the site. However, if you provide a lot of content for that specific niche, it doesn't hurt to have additional unrelated content also. A guy with a fetish for mature women can have interest in other niches also. By providing that additional content, you increase the chances of appealing to the customer's other desires and increase retention.

I think that in the end it comes down to the website operator's strategy. If they are trying to build a loyal customer following, then they will establish a personalized niche site with ONLY that content and offer tons of it(mostly exclusive). If they are trying to retain members but grow quickly, they will offer a large amount of that niche specific content, but also provide other unrelated content(semi-exlusive). Then there are those that offer only a few plugins regarding that niche, add tons of misc. content, throw up a tour and then drive loads of traffic to it hoping that a certain percentage of the customers will stay.

I believe that the exclusive sites retain much better, but they also incur much higher operational costs due to content production. I believe the easiest strategy is what I called the semi-exclusive method.

Yep, and some of the biggest names out there are going to bite it. Some of these guys literally just go down to the corner porno store and encode shit straight from DVD and sell it as feeds. Unbelievable.

Who are these people? That's pretty stupid business sense. Someone should create a verification system or service that would verify that a company offers licensed or 2257 compliant content through an initial audit. Kind of like an Arthur Anderson of adult.
