The Drama with Steve Lightspeed

I don?t kiss ass. That?s not my style. I appreciate what should be appreciated and speak out against things that are not right. I don?t care who the fuck the person is, I?ll speak out against them if they?re fucking someone over. Doubly so if that someone happens to be a member of my family.

I?m sure most people read my thread about Steve fucking my cousin over on a solo-girl website. Steve asked me why I didn?t come to him to talk about it first. I did. Almost a year ago. It was a major issue for weeks. We reached an agreement and that was that. This most recent drama happened when it appeared that agreement was dishonored.

Now, some things are right and some things are flat out wrong. It would be flat out wrong if I didn?t write this thread and let people know what?s happened in the past few days to take away my negative feelings towards Steve.

I now firmly believe that Steve didn?t INTEND to fuck anyone over. I?m not going to back off of the fact that it is very unfortunate for my cousin that she lost a model after investing several thousand dollars. She shot the model for several weeks, took her to Phoenix, and lost her to the glitz and glamour that is Lightspeed media. Once a model gets it into her mind that she could be part of the Lightspeed way of life she?s not going to be happy with anything else until she gets it. Those are all facts.

Before all of this, Steve and I got along just fine and dandy. In fact, I encouraged my cousin to work with him on her own site instead of working with me, because Steve has much more experience than anyone else when it comes to the single-girl niche. But when all of this drama began I blamed Steve and I let him know it right away. He?s the President of the company, and as such he must take full responsibility for the actions of his company, whether they?re his fault or not. As I said, this was a year ago. Steve agreed at the time to never launch a solo-girl site of this particular model. But he did say he?d use her as filler content on his other sites and make her into a sort of ? Lightspeed bad girl?.

My rampage last week was started when I discovered Steve had decided he?d go ahead and launch a site of this model after agreeing not to do so. In that thread even Steve himself indicated that such a promise had been made in the past. But the thing is, I now honestly believe that Steve thought things had been worked out and that it was now okay with all parties to proceed with the site. He felt released from the no-site agreement.

There have been a million different conversations with several different people about this matter. For awhile the situation changed on a near-daily basis. Steve was being told a million different things by a million different sources. God knows he?s busy enough already. It was up to the model and my cousin to come to a final agreement.

The point is that Steve didn?t purposefully fuck anyone over. In his mind the matter had been settled and was a part of the past. People involved were telling him that everything had been worked out. Steve was just looking towards the future. He didn?t purposely try to fuck anyone over. Shall I repeat that? He didn?t purposely try to fuck anyone over. Did I mention that he didn?t purposefully try to fuck anyone over?

I didn't believe that at first. After further conversations I really do now.

Did my cousin get fucked over? Yes. Was Steve Lightspeed at fault? It is now my opinion that it was not. One could definitely call this an expensive lesson and study on the psychology of models.

I am tired of the drama. A lot of egos were involved here. If all parties involved had dropped their egos long ago this wouldn?t even be an issue. I?ll admit my own ego is quite large, which makes this next sentence excruciatingly painful:

Steve, I am very sorry for quite a few different things. You and I know what all of those different things are? and as some of them were never publicly spoken of I?ll keep the details of this apology private: something between those involved.

One final piece of advice to other webmasters: don?t take your models to industry events. It?s not worth the relationships it will cost you.

do you remember all the personal and family and behind the scenes shit you threw out there? you made your cousin look like a whore who slept with lightspeed's photographer for web favors and steve must have compassion and sympathy for you after your pathetic outbursts.

Seriously, I have made some mistakes along the way, and I honestly try NOT to steal models away from anyone. It's bad business. We are all growing up together here, this is new territory for everyone.

I think it's remarkable that two guys who didn't want to do so could put down the ego long enough to talk things through. That is a hard thing for me to do. I don't know if it was hard for Steve or not, but I know I wasn't one of his favorite people. That should be noted.
