                                                                        funny - LOTS of canadians goto cuba for holidays and i've only heard good things about it from a lot of people. I havnt' been there myself yet though.

                                                                        last year went to the domincian republic. the resort was awesome but the country was a shithole.

                                                                                                I have nothing but good times down there, drama free, and have plenty of chicas and mojitos to take care of all your problems. We have a private house down there that rents to us, so it's full on any thing you want, any time you want it. You just gotta know how to get it done.

My motivation as you asked was simple. You mentioned up front the Cuban people were stupid and having family jailed or assassinated for not joining the revolution was what set me off.
                                                                                                        I appreciate your courage in visiting 3rd world civilizations, but have a problem with your ability to differentiate the people from the governments that control them. The elders have little or no choice but to comply with the way of life. The youth; (48 years or younger) cannot comprehend what freedom is, for they have never seen it.
                                                                                                        I wish I could go there and hug family I only know from letters and Kodak pictures, but coming from a political family I cannot.
