    how many adult book stores are there in the US and Canada

    A friend asked me and I said I have no idea.

      What is the criteria for an Adult Bookstore? Are you talking about stores that only carry adult products, cause there are many stores that carry adult and general releases. Here are some of the facets of a adult bookstore.....

      **Adult DVD sales/rentals
      **Adult VHS (yes, some still sell and rent those things)
      **Adult novelties
      **Adult magazines
      **Adult arcade
      **Adult theater
      **Peek shows

      That being said, I would guess 25k outlets that can sell/rent adult video, about 5k that can sell novelties and 2k that have adult arcades

      BTW, these guesses are U.S. based only. I would love to see whats going on in Canada.

                                      Walk down Seymour St. in Vancouver and you'll pass at least 8, hop over to Granville and there's more. Several more on Davie St. And that's just the downtown core.
