Not all of us can just go out in public like you. You realize how hard it is to go out in public and still never be seen by anyone?
Actually SAG mailed me The Departed and LIL Miss Sunshine. I think both were Excellent but Departed is more my style. I wanted to see Babel but they only sent me a voucher for that and fuck that if you think I'm gonna go to a public theatre even if it is free. I didn't see Letters From Iwo Jime. After I worked on Windtalkers I was kinda turned off by War Films. And we have a Queen movie here from HBO that was, ok. They show a lady getting beheaded though and they had to hit her twice to knock off her head the FX were kinda neat in that. I didn't want to sit thru more of that same crap, especially with a woman that seems to always play the Queen.
I dunno if the woman in the Queen was the same as the woman in HBO show I saw, but damn they look a lot alike. I think White people all look alike to me. Except for Baddog.
If I had to vote, (and I can) my vote would go to The Departed.

The Oscars are a joke, today they will give out 3 oscars to black people for the very first time in history and everyone will clap and applaud at how far blacks have come in the movies and how fair liberal hollywood is to minorities. Then they will move on to the "people who never won" category and give out some obscure Oscare for an old theater nobody so they can still feel good about their own craft THEN they will move on and make a nice political statement by presenting Al Gore with an Oscar for being almost President(err I mean for his movie) and try to bribe him to run in 08. Then there will be the orgasmic after parties where they will rub each others egos until they all scream with extacy. Bleh what a fucking circle jerk with everyone cumming on each others faces.Comment

Just saw Babel. Pretty disappointing. Getting tired of these non-linear cut-and-paste narratives. Syriana is the only one in recent years that I've found entertaining or enthralling. So many of these others, like Babel, 16 grams, etc., just seem like they're doing it for no other reason than to be unnecessarily opaque.BaDoink
