I believe in a higher "power". I believe we we're "blessed" with some ability to think for ourselves. ( not counting anything here at gfy ). Organized religion is something we've developed and used to our benefit ( "our" being those in power ) over a very long period of time. We ( they ) fine tuned it. One great example is how bush used evangelicals. The closed minded people I've met and am related to don't believe in the possibility that all this shit happened with no meaning "
string theory". Its hard to think when you're dead that's it. I think about this stuff too. To make my post even weirder I used to know one of elvis hair dressers. Very old lady. When I would drive her around her skin would fall off in the car had to clean it out. Old as the hills she told me how she used to believe in a lot of things but came to the realization that there was nothing after we're gone... but she was married to a con man so maybe that had something to do with it. You have to think about who wrote the bible back then too. What were the motives. Hell didn't start out as what it is known to be now. My 2 cents. Not being closed minded. Search for truth is an uphill climb for everybody and we all will get there in the end. If you ever read "lord of the flies" or seen the movie and understand at some point a society has to conform to certain "god" beliefs otherwise you're done.
