Maybe I'm a moron.. I don't really keep up on this stuff but every once and awhile there's something I want to check out and so I try to download a torrent.. Maybe half a dozen times total.. couple different pieces of software... and every time it's been sllooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwww...

well depends how many seeds there are and some isp's are throttling torrent ports but just check out some of the porn torrent sites and you'll see there is a huge problem with too much free shit on torrents. its about the only way people can download full dvds for free unless they get on usenet which most average users don't understand how to use.you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day.. -
For the non-idiot who knows what they're doing, torrents are fast, free and plentiful.
I download every TV show I watch, usually a few hours after its broadcast in high def commercial free.
Any movie I want to see I can have on DVD the next day, a lot of the times before it's out on video.
Xbox and ps2, I can grab any game anytime.

torrents are brilliant I use them for games movies and software why pay for something when its free? But I also like to moan about the porn side of it because it takes money from me, So I love it and hate it. Speeds can be slow but try to tweak the settings in the preferences on your client and that sometimes speeds things up also you need a lot of seedersComment
