When you film a documentary you are filming real life issues. HBO is protected because they are not doing anything illegal. I highly doubt the producer knows if the girls are on drugs or not. They are filming on the life of prostitutes and what they go through. It is real life and allowed to be fimed and shown on HBO. There is a big difference between a documentary, which is legal to film, and a guy filming in his bathroom.
