Omigosh! Did you see the N'Orleans Parrish President On TV???

I have never, ever, EVER seen an American man so distressed on television before. I'm talking as far back as the big quake that hit Alaska, Vietnam, Hurricane Camille, Andrew etc.

The president of the Parrish in N'Orleans was on tv and fell apart! He said that FEMA turned away water and oil and cut their communications lines! I didn't know that!

Why the fuck would they keep water, supplies and phones from the people????

This shit has hit a level that unfortunately is just the tip of the iceberg.

There's a scam going on and folks are saying that the levee that broke DIDN'T break. It was busted on purpose for some dumb ass reason. Considering everything else so stupid during this disaster I wouldn't discount it.

This is the first President since Lincoln that has about a billion or more people pissed the hell off at him.

Saw a segment on CNN yesterday.
The showed a clip with the deputy director of FEMA that was on CNN friday before the hurricane hit.
He said it was a serious storm and it could very well be the big one and people had to get out of NO.

The they showed a clip with the same guy that was on on Wednesday.
Now he said that there were no way they could have known that the storm would be so bad.

So this guy basicly lied to cover up.

These FEMA assholes are gonna get shot at sunrise for this bullshit. The parrish president was in TEARS on the fucking air telling people exactly what FEMA did and I couldn't fucking believe it!

There's something else going on with our emergency response systems from the government. What was so important that those resources weren't mobilized? Bet it was protecting wealthy neighborhoods or gold or something.

I doubt that anyone will be held accountable in a legal sense...

They'll just start having meetings about what to do to prevent it from happening again in the future... Which they should have done years ago when they were being warned it could happen.

If anyone IS held accountable, it'll be at the lower end of the ladder..

Just as with the Challenger incident.. The folks that warned not to launch were fired and the ones that fucked up were promoted...

yeah I saw that too, an actor/comedian down there at the convention center reported to CNN that he spoke with a witness who alledgedly watched 2 empty grain barges break the levee.

LOL.. hey... in how many threads will you post that? FEMA and co. are supposed to plan those things.. they are the EXPERTS here that should look over things like that.. have pre-established plans for a number of different scenarios.. take control and not let important decisions in the hand of individual citizens like the fucking mayor of the town who is not trained for that kind of crisis...

God help them. Yes Series...That's the tv segment I was talking about. I don't ever, ever, ever, want to see that again. That is just so hear breaking it's an eye opener for sure.

To know that woman was dying and that FEMA cut the communications system and turned help back just sends me into a fury.

Okay I had heard and read several pieces of rumor from people blew the levee to escape, demolition explosions, yadda yadda yadda.

Bottom line is that levee wasn't supposed to break.

One reporter showed how powerful and high the storm surge was. He stood next to the almost 20ft level of the height of the storm surge, but that was SEVEN FUCKING MILES inland! Can you imagine a wall of water 20ft high rolling 7 miles inland???

Sheesh, it just boggles the mind!

With that much force, who knows what objects crashed into that levee. We'll find out for sure.

the problem is the head of FEMA is appointed by the president and the 2 guys Bush has appointed have never dealt with emergancy situations ever before holding the job. That to me is insane.
