I was in the middle of the desert in Saudi and those things were EVERYWHERE!
As soon as the sun set you would see them coming out en masse, it looked like the ground started moving there were so many of them. They would come onto our flightline and you couldn't help but step on a few. Some would get really brave and follow you around and rear up on their back legs and look like they wanted to fuck with you.
We would catch one and put it in a tank with a scorpion. The spider usually won.

It's a pretty big deal when you are in the desert and one of those fuckers decides to crawl up in your sleeping bag. You don't initially feel them on you if you are asleep because they will numb the area and suck on your blood all night. Friend of mine woke up with a hole in his leg.

Camel spiders are like 10x the size of a tarantula. Thus the reason for everyone makign such a big deal. The video doesnt really bother me though.
