Sex education in the United States is the biggest load of bullshit. I never heard anything about "high risk" practices, but plenty about "alternatives." No one is telling kids these statistics so they don't offend anyone.

Hell, I went to private schools and all I ever saw was an abstinance video were some couple got married and both of them died of AIDS. The evangelicals who made it were so brain dead they couldn't figure out the logical conclusion to the video was that there was if you save sex for marriage you still could get STDs because your partner may have not.

We all know that fear is the silliest method of preventing behavior, especially when its a body function as natural and normal as eating. The second worst is ignorance, by not telling kids the truth.
