You know before this I thought all that "its the media" stuff was bullshit, but watching the press conferances and hearing some of the questions asked by reporters from outside the state, then coming here and seeing what is posted and what supposidly is happening down here as well as being told things were happening right outside my door I have to take another stance.

The sad thing is you simply do not know who to listen to anymore, the media is indeed a business now, and much like the mentalities of people here they will do whatever it takes, say whatever they need to to get the viewers in, to get the sales.

There were no drugs, shooting or rapes in the dome, as a matter of fact there was relatively little complaining from people, they were happy just to have a place where they could be high and dry and knew they would not be killed by flood water. People were screened for drugs, alchohol and weapons, there are also enough police to cover all areas of the dome. Likewise there were no riots in downtown baton rouge and there was no looting in, on or around LSU's campus, how do I know" I AM THERE and I have been on the phone with people in the dome, college students who were not able to get out of town.

The general consensus is that everyone who is black and from new orleans is bad or if not there is some crazy number thrown out like 80-90%, poor people do tend to be a little less tactful and unintelligent, how dare them not go to charm school, but there are many of them that are good people, who abide as closely to the laws as we here.....
