"Global warming" refers to the average temperatures getting higher from year to year, and while maybe the outlook isnt as bleak as some would make it seem, it's pretty much a scientific fact.

There are several factors that contribute to snow: only one of which is temperature... and, of course there are going to be periods of low temperature throughout the year that would allow for frozen precipitations. But without a storm, there's no snow. More snow also means there are more storm systems around than in previous years.
