While the last two Matrix movies were pretty crappy, when they wax philosophical, they get interesting quickly.
Ramakandra: You have never heard a program speak of love....
Neo: It is a human emotion.
Ramakandra: No, it is a word. It is the connection the word implies. I see that you are in love. Can you tell me what you would give to hold on to that connection?
Neo: Anything
Ramakandra: Then perhaps the reason you are here is not so different than the reason I am here.
Until I had seen that movie I hadn't heard that phrase before in my life, but yet it's something I had always known. It's a combination of feelings that are really beyond rationalization or description. Nothing we can say really comes close to how we feel, and no two people feel exactly the same way, so we just agree that it's how we feel and stick a four lettered label on it.
