    In November 2004, a panel of experts testified before a Senate subcommittee that a product which millions of Americans consume is dangerously addictive. They were talking about pornography.

    The effects of porn on the brain were called "toxic" and compared to cocaine. One psychologist claimed "prolonged exposure to pornography stimulates a preference for depictions of group sex, sadomasochistic practices, and sexual contact with animals."

      I don't know... I've spent quite a few hours over the last 7 years editing photos and building porn sites. I think i've seen a good portion of the porn on the internet, and i sure as hell have never had any urges to hurt people, be hurt, or have sex with animals.

                                                  crock of shit - all the people i know who have prolonged exposure to porn working in this industry get bored by it - i am and it hasn't made me go out and seek more extreme porn - never liked it and still don't. in fact i now find the softcore and NN stuff of really hot or cute girls more erotic than watching a chick choking on a cock. they just made that stuff up cuz it sounds logical - get desensitized to vanilla porn and you'll become some kind of sex maniac rapist. guarantee you all these 'scientists' began their research wanting those results and i bet the evidence is all anecdoctal. it's not science, it's bullshit.
