The Astros play in Minute Maid Park which used to be Enron Field. they haven't played in the Astrodome in YEARS.

Saints? rumors are they will play in San Antonio.

Saints to practice in San Antonio

                  NFL.com wire reports

SAN JOSE, Calif. (Aug. 31, 2005) -- The Saints will head to San Antonio after their preseason game against the Oakland Raiders on Sept. 1 because most of New Orleans was flooded by Hurricane Katrina.

The team, practicing this week in San Jose, will fly to Texas after their final preseason game to begin preparing for the season opener at Carolina on Sept. 11, team spokesman Nick Karl said.

The Saints practiced in San Antonio last year when Hurricane Ivan threatened New Orleans.

The team is still uncertain whether the Superdome will be ready for its home opener against the New York Giants on Sept. 18.

Tens of thousands of refugees from the storm have been staying at the Superdome, but officials said they would have to evacuate as flood water continues to rise. The storm ripped two holes in the curved roof of the building.

Saints can play in Baton Rouge (LSU) if need be. However, the NFL may prefer San Antonio for the season. San Antonio has been a city wanting an NFL team but can't get the support of the taxpayers to pay for a new field. This may be a chance to get a taste of the NFL.

I seriously doubt you can play a colllege football game on a saturday and have the field be in any kind of decent condition for an NFL game Sunday. especially if happens to rain durring a saturday game. What if those crazy college kids tear down a goal post after a game?

It can absolutely be ready for the next day, weather permitting. NFL=$$$, hire enough people to clean the stadium/parking lot and you have yourself a game.
