I know one guy that drives an electric one around town since he lost his license for about the 4th time for DUI and driving with no insurance. Apparently since it has an electric motor they can't charge him for impaired, or at least that is his theory. I look forward to the day he gets to test that out.

i see alot of golf carts driving around town outside Phoenix, but i don't know if they are legal or not.

Some places in Hawaii we can do that too, like subdivisions and North Shore, but I live in Waikiki and want one to drive down through town and shit. The cops drive 4-wheelers on the beaches and streets of Waikiki, I don't see the harm in letting at least one civilian do the same.Originally posted by crockett

Here outside of Phoenix in a retirement community - a city called Sun City - golf carts are perfectly legal and the same laws that apply to cars also apply to golf carts.
