First off, ignore Brutal Truth.
Secondly, if this guy has picked up a chick hotter than the one in the picture, he must be loaded and very good looking. Just one isn't going to cut it.
I can tell you as a guy, with a few relationships under his belt, that the only reason he is even bothering to email you and tell you this is because he still misses you. Otherwise, he would pay as much attention to you as I do to my ex-wives. Seriously, if he isn't into you he wouldn't waste his time.
However . . . the same could be said about you. The fact that he has your email address, or that you have his (and apparently use it) tells me you must have feelings for him too. Denial isn't a river in Egypt.
So, if you are really cutting the strings, cut the strings and move on. Nothing to be gained by dwelling on it.
