has anyone done this yet? I am thinking of getting one of these phones if it will actually act as a modem via a bluetooth conection on my mac. want it for when im travelling and can't get to a hotspot. plus the hotspots ive been using suck ass. any other wireless internet access solutions?

for macs, dunno but works for my laptop to tmobile mda
but the speed is not that fast either since you are going thru the bluetooth port.
i set it up by creating a "new bluetooth connection" then dial into my phone with something liek *66 (call CS and they will tell you). its actually pretty easy to doEmail: Clicky on Me -
i dotn have a mac but a toshiba satelite and it works fine
you could use a cable data though for better results

any phone will do that yes - but like said speed is horrible, just for grabbin stats fast or so
