Because I've also never played Primal and don't consider it as a part of the game line. Far Cray 3 and Far Cry 4 are the best ones. And course the first Far Cry was something outstanding for those times. Far Cry 2 is the only game that sucks in my opinion.

Far Cry One was a shell of a game wrapped around an amazing tech demo.Can ask you the same question Because I've also never played Primal and don't consider it as a part of the game line. Far Cray 3 and Far Cry 4 are the best ones. And course the first Far Cry was something outstanding for those times. Far Cry 2 is the only game that sucks in my opinion.
I think Far Cry 2 was an experiment to take things further and while I appreciated what they were trying, gameplay just ended up being tedious, frustrating and boring. A little too realistic and the traveling was mind numbing.
But I wouldn't call it a failed experiment because they honed the experience to make three and four perfect games.
