The best conversions and retentions you'll see come from pics the sponsors give you. They fit the theme of the site because they are FROM that site. Also the sponsor usually picks out the pics, so they're the juciest ones from the set to show what's in the members areas.
That being said, there's no guarantee that those will get listed. Limited release content seems to get the best listings because it's not played out, but if they join looking for that set and it's not in the members area, they're going to be pissed.
Look at it psychologically. Every sale is based on ONE thing that really grabs the customer. They're not unsophisticated wishy washy moron subscribers, they look for their fetish and they click till they see exactly what they want and a point scatter around it. If they see one girl in particular that lights them up, they join BECAUSE of that ONE GIRL and THAT THEME. If it's not in there but the point scatter is, they might stick around, but the cognitive dissonance is significantly higher if they can't find what they're looking for. If the galleries are completely unrelated, you see more chargebacks and shorter membership lengths.
Talk to your sponsors and ask them what they think you should do. And tell them to BUY MY CONTENT.
