By the way 108 miles would have been a much safer distance than being in New Orleans and this hurricane has been out there for over a week. Just a suggestion if you like ina area were there are possibilties of hurricanes and you are not able to escape may I suggest MOVING.

I lived in Flordia for over 10 years. If you don't have a plan and are not prepared BEFORE hurricane season starts and you live in a hurricane zone then you are an idiot, PERIOD.
You are such an absolute fucking idiot at times it's sickening. When a hurricane wider than the entire state is coming THERE IS NOWHERE TO FUCKING WALK. You can't walk far enough to be safe. They predict where it will hit with the keyword being predict. If you haven't noticed in your oh so fucking enlightened life they damn things bounce. You might start walking NW and the hurricane turns to head straight for you.

I'm gonna make a call to the mayor and tell them they need to hire you before the next hurricane hits, you can handle evacuating every one of 1.3 million or more people including those that can't walk, have no money, have nowhere to go, don't drive, are blind, deaf, or in the fucking hospital hooked up to machines.

Please continue to display your brilliance on GFY, we would never survive without it.

so you may as well be talking about brain surgery because you are clueless.

Kid? I'll be 37 in December. Like I said I lived in Florida for 10 years. Show me PROOF that New Orleans officials, newspapers, TV stations, schools do not talk about hurricane preparedness BEFORE June 1st every year. If not then they are being negligent in their duties. Until YOU have PROOF may I suggest STFU.

Oh by the way go ahead and be an idiot and stay when hurricane is coming since that is what you are suggesting. Shame on me for suggesting someone try to SAVE their lives and thier childrens lives.

You want my fucking credentials you can pay me for them. Like I'm gonna go dig up shit, scan it, and post it on GFY so a 37 year old that plays with comics and action figures can say it's not mine or fake anyhow.

Well it would have been possible for most people to at least walk to higher ground in the week before the storm, where it wasn't as likely to flood. It's not like they really needed to avoid the ENTIRE hurricane to avoid drowning. Finding shelter from the winds would've been a challenge but a better one than being drowned.

Its sad to see people fighting like kids over this tragedy. The hurricane already came and went, yes there is damage, fighting about stupid things now is pointless.

Please, please help them! They really do an incredible job in situations like this and need all the support they can get, because it is a very challenging task.

Good link! I'll check them out. I think I've heard of them before.

If you're a nature lover unfortunately you're gonna get a shitload of it now. News says fire ants are all over the place in N'Orleans. They can swim too. Poison snakes swimming through the streets too. No telling what'll happen in a few weeks when the mosquito population goes thermal.

If there are any diseases that the squitos can carry, they will. Hopefully there'll be enough mosquito poison to spread around to prevent this shit. But it'll be lots of it! Probably a record breaker.
