when doing the auto submissions my internet drops and i have to reset my modem. also when using the confirmer this happens too.

If you are saying that your modem loses connection when you submitting galleries/cofirming that means that your connection not stable. It can be coz the power(RF) your cable modem supposed to have is too high. I dunno what power your modem supposed to have, it changes from one cable company to another, but over here the normal one is 33db - 45db.
Just contact your cable technical support and tell them that you have too much disconnection, ask them to send a technician to your place and ask them to start sampling your modem. That's all.

Also could be your DNS is out of date. I have broadband, meaning it's 'always on'. Which means I may have same settings/IP/DNS for days or weeks. Not typically, but has happened in past.
Sometimes I have a similar problem, but I just go into my computer, diable, enable, and then refresh the connection. Which means I get new IP, and DNS. Usually has cleared the problem. I do not get it on Chameleon so much as FTP.
But since I found the problem, I normally refresh daily, and no longer have said problem.

That defeats the purpose of being, "always on" if you have to release your IP and then renew it. I'd recommend purchasing a router, even if you are only using the connection for 1 computer.
