It gets bad MPG, it's expensive, other cars that have it's cargo space are way cheaper.
Hummer started off as an all terrain vehicle. It wasn't meant for driving the kids around. Van's and SUV's were made for that.Comment

Everyone online likes to dog hummers but in real life they all want rides.. Go figure.. I bought my h2 for the lux and space.. The h2 is both bigger inside and nicer than the h1.. So unless you work on a farm or are just into offroading ginormous trails forget the h1. I love my h2. I dont offroad it at all. Plus it pisses off the tree huggers and thats fun.

Listen, the H2 is not off-road capable. It sits on a Tahoe chassis for Christ's sake. Sure you 'll be able to drive down a gravel road in the back woods of South Carolina. Other than that your asking for trouble. You will never ever see an off-road enthusiast who runs trails with an H2. I have seen a couple Hummers running trails though it's few and far between. Hummers can go off-roading and are certainly built for it. Though you will rarely see one on the trails as their base price is 130,000.
So.. The point is, no one should own an H2 even if they do off-road. If your going to go off roading there is only one vehicle. JEEP.

I take mine offroading, over logs and through small rivers. Its scratched up quite a bit, especially underneath with all the big rocks that I've kicked up under it.
