I agree, I've been watching the continuous live coverage on Fox and they really like to 'big it up'.
Anyway, Katrina is now downgraded to a Cat 4 and although it's still powerfull it looks like it's breaking up a little.
Jesus, im watching live right now.... thats fuck all! Thats vancouver weather in the winter... rain rain rain..... blah.... how lame.... BIG HURRICANE.. hah...
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

Yeah the rain in Canads really rips the roofs off and causes billions in damage regularly eh?

Doesn't look like this thing is gonna rip any roofs off.... go to www.msnbc.com if you don't know....'
Its no hurricane, they will call it a tropical storm in the next hour.... for sure.

It's a strong category 4 and already on land. There will be damage.
There is a news guy standing down there man, and the wind is hardly blowing....

the superdome falling down and under water are options given in this thread....It was stated at one point that N.O. on one news network, would be turned into atlantis and never be habitalbe again.....now i say anything less than that is FAILURE......
Will require no less than 100 deaths to justify all this hype.
If it fails to knock out the Super Dome it will be a failure.
Losing or sustaining damage to anything you own sucks. This would be horrible for anyone, wether life is lost or not, losing your personal belongings, losing your home, or anything has its consequences. This is horrible I hope they get out with no loss of life.
You guys wanna learn how to build stronger buildings.. it's not like you don't know these things are coming.. you get like 4 or 5 a year..
I doubt the poor population of New Orleans can afford expensive ass houses that will substain hurricane force winds. It's not like these hit every year, they are just in season right now. You know how people can be. "It'll never happen to me".
If I could have reached into the tv and strangle that bitch on cnn I would have. She kept fucking saying "the roof of the superdome is blowing off" and interrupting any good coverage to go back to that. All of NO isn't in that fucking dome.
The weather in Tampa is great but you can see the clouds moving North fast. You can definitely see the effects of the outside of the Hurricane here. This is a big system.
You deserve to make more money. I'll help you do that.

watch the weather channel rather than cnn and fox, at least you eliminate much more of the absolute morons. I can't believe the questions these "anchors" are asking.

Fact: there are buildings that have collapsed in my small hometown there in New Orleans that will NOT BE REPORTED and people are trapped inside.
There are areas of new Orleans where I am from that no reporters can go into.
The only two bridges leading into it are closed: Huey P Long bridge, and Crescent City Connection.
please dont think the only thing to do with this storm is being reported on CNN.
As I know first hand, that RIGHT NOW there are families SUFFERING and there are no police or news to help or cover them.
while you sit on the other side of the planet casting entertainment value on this, my mom is sitting in hotel room in Texas waiting for any news if her home still has a roof. Or if the huge tree we have in our yard has fallen over and taken the home or roof with it.
My grandmother just called me and said the huge cypress tree in her yard split and has fallen over and blocked the road.
With no way to trqavel, blocked roads, no power, flood water rising, - it sure is easy to sit back and claim it was a disappointment. However, families RIGHT now are not enjoying what nature has forced down upon them.
I have been there, I have helped families through smaller storms - the devestation is always painful - just not to people who neither care nor have any ties to the people or places in harms way.
