    New York State to ban crossing street with an Ipod

    ALBANY, New York: New Yorkers, turn down the iPod and pay attention: A new proposal would make it illegal to walk, jog or bike across the street while using your tech gadgets.

    And it is not just iPods. Kruger's bill also would ban using cell phones, Blackberries, video games or other electronic devices when crossing the street.

    Kruger said a 21-year-old man in his district was killed last fall when he stepped off the curb at the busy intersection while listening to music. And a 23-year-old iPod listener was killed Jan. 11.

          Yeah, i'd love to see them try and uphold those laws. Will a policeman work on every street corner and jump out and catch someone crossing the street listening to an iPod ?

              All it takes is one retard not paying attention and everyone has to pay.

              This will never pass. I would say that well over 50% of New Yorkers has some kind of music device and they aren't taking them off for the 10 sec walk across the street.
