30K+ was the last estimate - no power in NO either so it is dark and hot in there. The power to the pumps that pump out water from the city is also out until they get generators there. Be hard to watch them in a storm like this. No one would want to be there, a camera would fail in the wind but an audible alarm working off a generator as water rose over the levy would have been a good thing.
