nothing but the good old beer for me, or occassionally some vodka.

Cristall is the best vodka I've had.

I bet on a blind taste test of chilled vodka you all would not know the difference between one or the other; whereas one can easily differentiate between bourbans/scotches/whiskeys in terms of distillation, grain, etc.

Mind you I am not knocking either, but bourbans can certainly differ by a far greater degree than vodka which as far as I am concerned - once it is distilled to a certain level of purity - all tastes the same and separated only by marketing strategys. (remember when stoli carried cache?).

I would like to point out that the original Fleming James Bond character was considered "low class" because of his proclivity for vodka martinis.

The point... what you like is all a matter of taste, fashion is a fickle mistress, and there is no other time like the present to raise a toast to you all... in the libation of your choice of course!

Anyone else find Bourbon gives a nasty hangover ? Remy Martin cognac for me anyday.
