OK got this mail the other day:

We received roughly 80-90 of similar spam emails (and we continue to receive
them) this morning, most of them addressed to unassigned names
@rookiebabe.com (typical blind spam attempt)
Frankly we don't know how this particular email address of yours got on a
spammer's list.
Do note that you were spammed with "consumer sites", which proves that
whoever obtained your email address had no idea that you are an affiliate
webmaster, not a typical consumer. In other words, it is **highly
unlikely** (and utterly idiotic) for anyone to attempt to hack RB's
Affiliate List in order to spam it with consumer sites.
- Was this particular email address on file with any other company?
- What are the possibilities that you yourself were a victim of a hack?
We will be looking into this and will get back to you with our findings.
We do thank you for bringing this to our attention!

Then when I heard nothing else I wrote them to ask for any updates I got this:
As we stated before:
WE HAVE NOT AND NEVER WILL SELL AFFILIATE EMAILS.
We have no findings proving that our list was ever compromised.
In addition we have not received any complaints from any of our other
affiliates.

If everything else fails blame it on the affiliate.
[email protected] is a very unique mail and I only received spam to that mail nothing else to @mydomain.com.
