This is just limewire, i use others too.
I'd like to see the locations column on the left
The vast majority of my transfers are partial transfers, not because my cluster of 31 dedicated servers are already sharing them and sending the rest to the leecher, but because other people are already sharing thousands of my files. So P2PAds are correct when they say the clients files will be shared on the P2P networks for a long time after the campaign ends.

If we paid DH the $10K for this, basically to break even we'd need around 450 signups. Thats just us breaking even. Then, say even only 25% of them rebill to the next month, I'm then running at a good profit. As long as they keep rebilling I'm gonna be happy. And like DH says, you'll get traffic and sales for a long time to come even if you do only do it for one month.

This is something I'm greatly interested in. I'm gonna talk to my partner a lot about this, I believe he is interested also.

        looking forward to littleross.com littleenylz.com

No really, who the hell want to keep a drm file. People usually keep files that they like to watch over. I dont think anyone wants to watch a file over if it has popups and banners on it.

Incorrect, most users are lazy and don't delete the files. I just did a search for one of my own file, 63 sources found and 27 are not my dedicated leafs sharing the files (i.e. different users who downloaded it off me).

Users don't delete the corrupted files distributed by RIAA & MPAA either.

would someone care to adress the amount of traffic lose experienced after p2pads stops actively sharing the files ??

what numbers would you expect to see, traffic wise, when the campain runs out and the files are on their own ??

One of their reps told me thru email "We say a drop of 80% after the first week" So your traffic will drop 80% after they stop sharing.

Its an awesome concept and it is nice to see the wide variety of implementations, fixes, and mutations of such a model. Just run limewire and do a search for adult movies. As you can tell, there are differing 'flavors' of implementation and differing formats. It's awesome to see the back and forth between innovation, fixes, modifications, mutations, and once again, innovation. Good stuff!

P2P sure has come a long way since pre-WMP v9 URL Switching for WMV and ASF files.

Wow, Just got up and I see lot's of great questions

We run most major networks for our p2p stuff. Kazaa (Fasttrack) LimeWire (gnutella) and Gnutella2. There are over 60 million users of p2p.

I know 10k is too much for some of you so let me reiterate that we are coming out with smaller (less traffic) packages in the next week or 2 so you can try us out. Our launch was @ internext and we gave a special deal to our early adopters who bought in for $10k.

The door will be wide open for affiliates and everyone else to try us soon. Then you can do a test and judge us for yourself

We haven't just roped this off to the big players. Everyone will get a shot at our system soon.

                                  Turf:

The traffic falls off by 50% the day after your campaign ends and dwindles slowly after that, the rate varies by clip but many vids see an 80% drop in the first week. I still have some movies (little april) that stopped circulating Aug. last year generating 5-10% of their original hits and signups still today

If you are getting 20k uniques daily and your traffic drops by 90% that's still 2k daily uniques AFTER your campaign is over. I think that some people think on day 41 their traffic stops and this is not the case.

THank you everyone for your well thought out, intelligent questions. It's nice to see a real business thread stick once in a while If I missed anything feel free to contact me or post here.

Just to clear things up in case anyone has a similar question: Your P2P Ads campaign stats will drop after your campaign ends, but will not totally disappear, this is really a strength in the P2P traffic products.

In our experience, traffic drops significantly (about 80%) total. On the first day, your traffic will likely drop by 50%, and so on.

The trick to keeping your campaign on the p2p networks after your P2P Ads campaign stops is to use clips that are high quality and that p2p users will keep on their computer to share to other users without the help of the P2P Ads network.

Different people like different things. Give them a taste of what they want and a place to get more. You will get a lot of residual traffic.

As they say, the proof of the pie is in the eating. For the P2Pads guys in this thread on which P2P networks and under which terms can we find examples of P2Pads distributed content?

you froze 120k to make 48k doesnt make sense dude.

when you invest big numbers you at least want to try to double it.
actually you only need 10k, not 120k....4k profit, 10k back, remember?

As Brad mentioned in an earlier post, thats what advertisers originally started saying about TGP and MGP galleries.

Beyond that, I'd be willing to bet that the same thought traveled through the creators of iTunes, less successful reincarnation of Napster, and the myriad of other online stores that offer content found on the p2p networks.

There are a lot of people using the p2p networks because there is free un-restricted content on there. However, if an advertiser can offer them something more (much like tours do for porn sites now), the advertiser will do quite well.

This is a new source of traffic separate from the world wide web.

100%...the secret of P2P is "viral" who wants to re-share a protected DRM clip that is my only question?

We started 4 years ago sharing files and started our entire company from that test, we still do it, but not as intense. We have been watching the p2p laws and following the Govt and there tracking of files etc.

It is a very good idea and it does work, but like i said the only question in my mind is that our little files we sent up, multiplied to hundreds and thousands of files and took over pages etc, there were Mpegs, like balloons we just let go and they came back to pay us. Traffic does not drop off if you do it the "ol fashioned way" great files to surfers who dig that, and will show you love by sharing them and sharing and sharing them

We made over 140k sending traffic to ARS Adult Movie station in a very short time, from an index page with nothing on it except "enter" hyper linked to there site, the conversion ratios were so sick the webmaster Matt M still to this day shakes his head...we would hit the bonus every week.

But it requires work to make a "great file" not bullshit, humor sex, and great music. My partner is the master at this, and continues to make amazing clips. It could be considered something like the "movie biz" there are companies that make the "trailers" for upcoming movies, what do they do? They make you want to go buy a ticket and spend money, same thing.

I think this is a very good biz idea and its been tried before, there seems to be some trust issues on the DRM, for instance who has the admin to change the ads once the file goes live? How they are tracked etc, will you guys offer a tracking method?
