trillian has loads of features and the paid Pro version is well worth it, however on some machines I needed all free memory available so I went with the free miranda-im.org stuff which is also pretty decent just not as feature heavy...

IM2 is pretty nice
I've worked with gaim and miranda, too. I didn't like miranda..gaim was ok, but I still preferred IM2.Need Hosting? Reality Check Network services me purrrfectly!

am using gaim right now. sucked with trillian too. tried miranda, but usernames does not appear in your current window, just the time. so i dropped it....
still having probelms with gaim, though. still figuring it out. but i suggest you try it, it might work for you
