    My F_CKING GOD - REGISTERFLY

DO NOT PUT YOUR DOMAINS WITH THEM!!!!!

    CHECK THIS....

( Domain went on hold for one day and they redirected all the traffic via DNS change... now I have to wait for it to RE-propigate
    to get the traffic back)

FLYsupport: Hello. How may I assist you?
you: I am having a problem with one of my domain
    you: did I lose it?
    you: stripperbabes.net
FLYsupport: May I have your User ID please ?
    you: XXXXXXXXXXXXX
FLYsupport: Thats correct. Its in your account only. You have not lost it.
you: then how is it that it does not go to my site?
    you: stopped yesterday
FLYsupport: May I know where do you want to redirect this domain?
you: I'd have to log into my server and check the apache config file to find out the IP
you: I'd like to know how or why it got changed..
FLYsupport: This mean you want to point your domain to your webserver.
    FLYsupport: Is this correct?
you: its been going to the same place for 2 years
you: now all of a sudden it stopped..
FLYsupport: May I know if any attempt to renewal of this domain?
you: yes, just renewed the domain
    FLYsupport: When?
you: ip should be : 216.131.69.210
    you: yesterday
    you: last night actually
FLYsupport: This is because of renewal as domain was expired and renewed so all the old settings deleted. I have updated this IP to domain. Kindly allow upto 24 hours for the changes to be done. Your website will be up within this time-frame.
you: so when a domain with you goes on hold you steal all the traffic?
FLYsupport: Its not under our hold but to enom. Its just when domain is renewed or just registered. Hopefull it will stop working within next couples of hours as we have updated your settings.
you: instead of it just coming up DNS not found?
you: I have domains all over the place, this is the first place that I have seen do this..
FLYsupport: Then its start propagating. It will point to your server now.
FLYsupport: But do await till propagation gets completed.
you: I know how DNS works, I am the CTO of ADULT.COM...
you: I still can't believe you guys do this..
FLYsupport: This is not done by us, Sir. Its get redirect to enom after the domain is renewed after expiration as we use Enom for registration purpose.
FLYsupport: I appologize for any inconvinience caused by us.
you: Ok, well I will let everyone I know in the adult biz to watch out for this...
you: that should be good for a few thousand webmasters
    FLYsupport: Okey
FLYsupport: Is there anything else I can help you with?
    you: no thanks..
    FLYsupport: You are welcome.
FLYsupport: Thank you for visiting. Please contact us at anytime.
    FLYsupport: Have a nice time.

All they do is resell for enom.. you know that ANYONE up from then in the line can change all your domain info?

For example, if you signup for a reseller account under another reseller, any domain registered with your company can be changed by the people you signed up under.

I am sorry that happened to you, it sounds awful, not to mention frustrating.

Have you tried Dotster? I used them alot and it is great. The support is very quick to reply, in addition to being brainy.

If the domain expired, you're lucky that you didn't lose it - there is at least one registrar right now who has been known to delete domains at the moment they expire.

                    That sucks big time.
I myself use Domainnamesystems.com for all of my domains except one. And I'm fixing to change that one over also.

I've never had a problem with them so far.

                        ---------------------

                        RJ,

                        I am a master reseller.

I know for sure that I can change the DNS on my sub-accounts. You just click on the domain name in your sub-domain tab and you are there.

I've never attempted to change the whois information but I might be able to.

                        I wouldn't want to be a sub-account. I know that.

Transfer it to your preferred registrar

Dotster rules....... You pay twice the price than the others and get around ten times the service. I always advocate Dotster, anytime.
