ice moves. sometimes ice moves against other ice. anything could have caused the formation. one plate of ice could have pushe dinto another, forcing one sheet upward, the same way mountains form, wind could have polished the surface smooth, a warm day, who knows...
all in all, it is pretty damn cool though. where did you take the pics?
