I bought my Mom and Dad the same kind of bird, we have an African Grey Parrot that hardly ever shut's up! Super smart bird, but I'am also impressed with this bird...he talks to my Mom and Dad...his name is Dogger!

He says, Dogger go nite nite @ 8pm every night, on the dot!
Dogger, shhhh be quiet!
I love you!
Dogger is a pretty bird!

I never thought he would ever talk, boy was I suprised!

Very cute bird, so glad he is in good hands!

clipping their wings doesnt help i dont think.... they still fly usually, just more controlled when they are unclipped.

Trust me, it works. Before the clipping he got lift, now he doesn't.

When I first got him from Loryn he could fly the length of my house . . . he would not have lasted long with the ceiling fan.

I tried for yrs to get him to say "I love you" one day I said it real funny and loud...thats all it took! BTW: you really don't know the sex of a bird, unless you do the DNA testing...for all we know "Jake" could be a girl, LOL

). The fact that BD was able to help Loryn out AND give her piece of mind that the little fellow (bird, not BD) was being taken care of is just great
