I LOVE the whole package. Looks are just at the lower end of my definition of package. I bought it for performance and technological reasons - not looks. FFS it looks no diffferent than a $40k 525. I don't need a "show pony", preferring the understated ambience of this car.
Drove a few other cars including 997 cs and 996 c4 turbo, too much of a comprimise for purist sports ride/handling.
The M5 has very similar performance in a 4 door car I can throw the kids in, without being the PIG SUV that the Cayene is.
Anway - this thread may as well be over. You haters can go fuck yourself, I'll remember not to bother sharing the next toy I buy with my very fucking hard earned cash with you guys. To those that said congrats - thanks!

BMW's new design philosophy is "eclectic" at best. I wouldn't go so far as to say ugly because it's often the cars that challenge modern design that become the objects of affection for collectors. Some of what were considererd the ugly cars of their time are now timeless classics. However, just by making a car "ugly" doesn't guarantee uniqueness and collectability. Think BMW Isetta. That never was or never will be a good looking car. There have been many horrible designs that were aesthetically obtuse.You deserve to make more money. I'll help you do that.

Other than that - this car is amazing. It even rings 911 and tells of your location if you have an accident in which the air bags are deployed!
I can't even begin to list all the other features - amazing stuff.
This is definately the super car for gadget lovers.
