Probably too late for this now, but if you drop 3% hydrochloric acid solution into your ears as soon as you start feeling a scratchy throat or the first signs of sickness, it's goes away by the next day. It feels weird and bubbly, kinda like a fizzing sound, but it works!

I clean my doggy's ears like that, a cocker spaniel, but only if he has a serious infection....Not recomended!
