i never understood why they had to put down thoroughbred horses until i had a girlfriend whose dad was a pretty famous thoroughbred veterenarian and he told me why. Barbaro got every chance veterinary technology could give him to survive - 8 months of loving care and the best money could buy - the vet in charge always said that they would call it off if and when they felt Barbaro was suffering. supposedly they learned a lot during the 8 months and horses in the future will benefit from the unique medical case that was Barbaro's.I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I hate to say it, but a that horse was poked and prodded for so much sperm and DNA before it was all over....plus he was insured for millions.
