Weg RSS, Free hosted blog, what are your thoughts? These I think are different...

We have yet to add our feeds into the program (will have that done soon), however, Gabe and I have been playing with them all day and they seem to work just fine and to be honest, I am excited about them. I imported the RSS as a test into a wordpress blog and everything worked fine. So...I thought I would get some opinions on them and if anyone wants to use some for beta, Gabe and I can help you out.

First and foremost, we wanted to set this blog / feeds up with a focus on quality. We have a guy that comes in daily and writes the entries, we also took some time to add in some nifty designs to give them a fun spirit. Personally, I think they are great.

If you are looking for feeds that update 3 times a day with some pictures and bot-inspired text, these feeds are not for you. My guy comes in Mon-Fri, he will be putting in Quality entries.

Here are the categories:

DVD Reviews
This is my favorite one. Cool graphics and fun reviews are intended to give your surfers an all out review. Yes, the DVD content is ours, but if our guy doesn't like them, he will speak his mind. I thought it was a cool touch. The next update will be set for Monday, he has written a ton in advance : )

Amateur Porn
This utilizes all of our Amateur porn from EZ Pass and Fuckherright, to name a couple.

Milf
This might well be the funniest one. The guy writes them as if he is some milf obsessed fan.

Toons
Not many toon feeds around, great addition.

Lesbian

We have a few beta testers now, if you are interested in getting a jump and using them, hit up me or Gabe and we can turn over the instructions to you.

I would also like your opinions. I have no ego in this, if you see ways to improve upon it, by all means, you aren't hurting feelings. I seriously wanted to achieve quality and I don't see how 3 updates a day achieves that. I run a blog myself, I take pride in the content used on it : )

Wow, RSS feeds that have more than "here is a picture click it for more pictures isn't she hawt". I'm a strong believer that the extra effort to go above and beyond "tgp blogs" is well worth it. Should do really well for you guys!

Awesome stuff cory.. I think many companies/sponsors were a bit late to pick up on the rss craze and try to whip out untested unuseable/useless feeds. Its good to see you have taken the time to do it properly with respect to quality.

A quick glance shows decent keyword usage, but I would probably include strong tags if it were me.

Thanks guys. And just to let you know, I am a strong believer in letting all webmasters give input. Not much better of a way to do that than to post on a couple of major boards. I want your feedback so that before we import into the Weg system, they are exactly as you want.

I know some of you have read my blog, I take pride in real entries. I just can't see having a system or outsourced employee spit them out. Not on my watch

But we shall see if I am proven wrong.....

They just aren't technically in the system. I wanted to get feedback, refine them, and then push them into Weg.

i'm using autoblogger to post these and it's showing posting errors on some of the posts including all of the dvd reviews. i've checked with autoblogger support and this is because

"It's an error with any feed that has characters not allowed in the RSS spec. WordPress is rejecting part of the feed. Usually this is a non-UTF-8 character, or is a strange link-code."

could you look into this?

apart from these errors, these feeds are really good, and additional niches would be appreciated.

To be honest, I think it is only on a certain version of ABP. I use ABP to post mine without errors, but you and Jay are not the only ones that have noted this so the issue is obviously on our end.

anyways, i've seen a big program that has almost good as your feeds. they actually made categories/niche supported feeds for all of their sites since they have tons. so affiliates can grab feeds based on the niche they're looking. its damn neat!
