    Mainstream script that searches on ebay and ...

    Hi,
    I just finished a script that searches on ebay for different keywords and when the script finds something that fits my search, it sends me an email.

    I did that for a local comic book shop, so that they can find the comic books they need for their customers, and I was thinking that maybe it would be a very good idea to open a business where I could get customers to enter what they want to buy into a website, and when the script finds it, it send a mail to the customer.

    Do you think a site like that would work?

              A better idea would be a program that searches ebay for certain keywords, but pull out and generates a page full of links based on a keyword... and hook it up through ebays affiliate program that pays 5 cents per bid on links to specific items.

                  Doesnt ebay have a search engine? Just kidding sounds cool for some few peeps I guess.

                      The ebay search engine doesnt mail people when its finds something that people are interesting in, so a lot of people never find what they really want because they just cant search every day by hand, while my bot can ;D

                          Bingo, this would work if done right. I don't think charging for this service would ever really fly, but the above might.
