Having probs with my pc, can anyone help?

Just moved in my new place and unpacked everything and one of my PC's is fucked now.

Been looking all day for a solution but haven't been able to find one.

When I load any program it "rolls" from top to bottom before loading, same when I exit the program.

When I browse a webpage it does the same thing, if I try to scroll down instead of scrolling down immediantly, it does the "roll" deal also. When I click a link to load a new page does the same thing. Same with the start button, menus, ect...

I've done spyware and virus scans and can't seem to find any solution. My comp has a 3-4 second delay on anything I do because it has to do this "roll" thing before it loads anything, it's really annoying.

Can anyone help me out on this, been slaving over the web all day trying to fix this but haven't been able to.

Trying to make sense of that "roll" thing. It sounds like a monitor issue. If you just hooked the pc back up, double-check the cords to make sure they're not loose.

The monitor is hooked to a KVM switch, the other pc works perfectly fine on the same monitor. Basically when I load a program it rolls from top to bottom before letting me click on it. Hard to explain but basically from the title bar in the browser to the status bar if that makes any sense to you.

go to your display properties and make sure your color quality is at its highest

also, make sure you have correct drivers for your video card

I was just going to say that. It sounds like his drivers got bumped out or something. If it's using the standard windows drivers, it will do just that.

I have the correct drivers for my Radeon x800 Pro video card, I'm really stumped on this I'll try to downgrade to the 5.6 drivers instead of the 5.7 drivers maybe that had an impact also.

it's got to be the drivers or display properties settings

are you sure its not a strange page transitions ?? actually i guess not if its in firefox also..

try shutting down then hit f-8 repeatedly as your computer loads and go into safe mode and see if the same problem exists.

Loaded it in safe mode and it's not doing it anymore, when a browse a sit it does the "roll" deal on the page but it isn't slow like it was when I booted normally. All programs are running fine however.
