It's part of their nature...afterall, they are called "Pit" bulls...The line is crossed when you hit them hard enough to inflict permanent/semi-permanent damage but a few semi-rough punches or slaps will only encourage them to play with you. You can't breed out generations of fighting and you shouldn't expect a Pitbull to act like a Lab....On the other hand, if you take it too far, don't complain when you are without a right arm for the rest of your life because when push comes to shove, the Pitbull is probably going to win
